The 2008 Texas Oklahoma Regional Undergraduate Syposium (TORUS) was held on Saturday, March 8 on the campus of Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Dr. Ravi Shankar gave an entertaining talk on Archimede's Cattle Problem, we had an excellent panel discussion, several undergraduates gave interesting and informative talks, and three universities participated in Math Jeopardy. This year's winner in Math Jeopardy was Midwestern State University. Next year's symposium will be held on the campus of Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. The symposium is open to anyone interested in undergraduate mathematics. We hope to provide as many students as possible with the experience of giving mathematical presentations.
